First Community CU Names Volunteer of the Year First Community Credit Union has announced their Volunteer of the Year for 2022, Amanda Thrift. In recent years, FCCU launched a volunteer program where employees track the number of hours they volunteer outside of work. Whether it is helping at church, coaching basketball, or volunteering at the local humane society, FCCU encourages, recognizes and rewards staff who are involved in their communities. Thrift, originally from Jamestown, ND, volunteered over 170 hours in the Jamestown and surrounding communities in 2022. She actively participates in Kiwanis, Prairie Paws Rescue and Jamestown Tourism in addition to volunteering at FCCU events. Thrift is the Jamestown Retail Manager. In all, FCCU staff tracked nearly 2,700 volunteer hours during 2022! Capital CU Announces New Business Services Team Hire and Promotion Capital Credit Union has announced the hiring of Stacia Sanders as a business services officer at their Veterans Blvd Branch in Fargo. Sanders has 27 years of professional experience in the financial services industry. Taylor Lugert was also promoted to business services officer at the Veterans Blvd Branch. As business services officers, Sanders and Lugert will be responsible for delivering business products and services to existing and prospective credit union members. They will also look for opportunities to provide additional products and services to business members. Sanders was born and raised in the Fargo-Moorhead area and attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. Lugert has been with Capital Credit Union since 2019, most recently as business services representative at the Veterans Blvd Branch. This great man was an American Baptist minister and activist and one of the most prominent leaders in the civil rights movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968.
