GAC 2022 Schedule
Join thousands of your credit union peers in Washington, D.C. to share the credit union difference with lawmakers. While we have adapted well to the digital environment, the true power of the GAC has always been all of us—CUNA, Leagues, credit unions, system partners—coming together.
That’s influence in action.

Can't make it to D.C.?

CUNA opened registration on February 3, 2022 for "CUNA GAC On-Air," a limited-content, virtual option to attend the 2022 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC). “CUNA GAC On-Air,” will include CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle’s speech, the ED (Filene) talk with Mick Ebeling, an economic update with CUNA Chief Economist Mike Schenk, and more.
Interested participants can register for the virtual option on the CUNA GAC website. Those who have already registered for the in-person CUNA GAC and wish to transfer to the virtual option should contact hello@cuna.coop for assistance.

Coronavirus Situational Update
Washington, D.C. recently lifted its vaccine mandate as of February 15, 2022, and will also be lifting indoor mask requirements as of February 28, 2022. Click here for the most up to date covid health and safety information. Find DC Health vaccination information here. *Updated 2-15-22
Please note the following as you prepare to travel to Washington D.C.:
  • You are no longer required to complete the Safe Expo verification process to access CUNA GAC.
  • While the city-wide mask requirement is expected to expire, the Walter E. Washington Convention Center may continue to require masks. CUNA is seeking confirmation of their policy.
  • Some restaurants, hotels and private businesses may require proof of vaccination. We recommend carrying a copy of your vaccination card with you or on your phone.

CUNA GAC CRASHERS

Once again, Filene and The Cooperative Trust are hoping to get 50 Crashers – one from each state – to attend the event in Washington, DC.  Crashers receive free conference registration.  Travel, lodging, and food costs are the responsibility of the Crasher and their credit union.  DakCU is offering a $1,000 scholarship for each of our Dakota Crashers!  The first step is to be selected.  If you are building a career in the industry, we strongly encourage you to apply for this opportunity.  Details are available here.
Deadline to apply is December 3, 2021.
