iLead@11 DakCU Emerging Leader Program

The iLead@11 DakCU Emerging Leader Program is a leadership development program designed specifically for emerging leaders in the credit union industry. Based on the popular Leadership@11 program designed by Eleven Performance Group (EPG), the program features three pillars of study:
  • Session 1: Leading Yourself
    • One can’t lead others without first deeply understanding oneself.
  • Session 2: Leading Others
    • Poor leaders can cost a company more than $125,000 through lost productivity, turnover, and staff dissension.
  • Session 3: Leading the Organization
    • Under proper leadership, the cooperative business model allows credit unions to capitalize on favorable consumer sentiment and opens tremendous growth possibilities.
In 2022, DakCU successfully engaged more than a dozen emerging leaders through program completion. Now, in its second year, we expect even more growth. Thanks to the support of Dakota Credit Union Foundation and other strategic partnerships, many of our program attendees received funding for their tuition, paying up to 50 percent of the program through available scholarships and grants.
Emerging Leader Track start dates are ongoing throughout the year. With flexible sign-ups into the program, you are able to register at a time that is convenient for you to go at your own pace.

Who is an Emerging Leader?

A good question based on the individual or credit union. An Emerging Leader could describe a long-time employee that due to promotion is now in charge of a staff or department and may need some additional leadership skills to help them grow. Another example could be a relatively new employee in which management can already sense leadership potential, or an individual themselves who wants to become more of a leader. This program is designed to help each unique individualized situation.

When Does the Program Start?

There are technically no starting or kick off sessions. The program will be continuously rolling and forever ongoing as different individuals start their own journeys on defining or developing their leadership skills. This is an ongoing program that allows participants to start whenever they want and determine their own pace to the program.

More Information

The three-session program, created by Jim Kasch with Canidae Consulting and Tonya Voltolina of Eleven Performance Group, costs $2,500 per participant - includes all classes, program materials, assessments, coaching- debrief, and individual development plan.

All sessions will be individually scheduled with EPG, and all sessions will be delivered virtually/remotely through Zoom. Sessions may be limited, so don't delay your registration!

Prior to the first session, participants will complete several assessments. These take several weeks to administer. After which, the participants will also have a private debrief call with their coach, who will help interpret the results of all the assessments.

Grants and scholarships available year-round.
