Tom Schmidt Joins Capital CU Capital Credit Union has announced the hiring of Tom Schmidt as business services officer at their Flasher Branch, located at 105 N. Main St. As business services officer, Schmidt will be responsible for delivering business and agriculture lending products and services to existing and prospective credit union members. He will also look for opportunities to provide additional products and services to business members. Schmidt earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and accounting from Dickinson State University and has more than 11 years of professional experience in the financial services industry. He is a member of the North Dakota Stockmen's Association, North Dakota Angus Association, American Angus Association and American Quarter Horse Association. Schmidt and his wife, Janet, have three grown children and live south of St. Anthony. Madison Becker Joins Capital CU Capital Credit Union has announced the hiring of Madison Becker as an insurance agent for Capital Insurance Services, LLC, at their Main Office, located at 204 W. Thayer Avenue in Bismarck. Becker will be responsible for assisting members with all their insurance needs including auto, home, renters, recreational vehicle, life, farm, commercial and more. “As a previous employee of Capital Credit Union, joining Capital Insurance Services feels like coming home and I could not be more excited,” says Becker. “Forming long-lasting relationships with clients and educating them on their insurance options is something I am so passionate about, and I look forward to meeting and assisting new clients in Bismarck and the surrounding areas.” Born and raised in Bismarck, Becker has four years of professional experience in the insurance industry and an additional three in the financial services industry. She graduated from Dickinson State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. NCUA Opening $3.4M Grant Round Low-income designated credit unions can apply for 2024 Community Development Revolving Loan Fund (CDRLF) grants from NCUA between May 1 and July 1. The 2024 CDRLF grant round is open to credit unions with a low-income designation. The agency will administer more than $3.4 million in CDRLF grants to the most-qualified applicants, subject to the availability of funds, and will host a webinar in May to explain the grants process.
