Representatives from both large and small Dakota credit unions gathered at the Delta Hotel in Fargo, ND, on Tuesday, August 15 for the annual DakCU Professionals Forum. Each year, this event draws a diverse sampling from DakCU member credit unions, all with one common goal: to engage in meaningful conversation about issues that are important to Dakota credit unions and their members. Some of the discussion topics submitted by attendees included preparing for Section 1071 implementation; lending concerns; delinquency management; interest rate environment; in-house mortgage lending; repossessions; regulatory concerns; as well as deposit growth challenges; operations concerns including CECL, technology advancements, and security; as well as marketing and staffing best practices. The day ended with a casual social sponsored by Millennium Corporate, where conversations continued among attendees, while enjoying complimentary beverages and a variety of snacks. There was also the opportunity to try your luck in a friendly game of cornhole as an entertainment option.
On Wednesday, many of the attendees from the Professionals Forum gathered at Fargo’s Rose Creek Golf Course for the Dakota Credit Union Foundation’s annual Golf Scramble. This year’s event proceeds were dedicated to the new CU4Kids Micropreemie Care Unit at Fargo Sanford Children’s Hospital. Watch for the full story in next week’s Memo! Comments are closed.
