Each year, the Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) recognizes our member credit unions for their outstanding efforts in marketing and communications. The Marketing and Communication Award recognizes a marketing communications piece or project that was used over the past year and proved to be a successful investment. One award is presented for each asset category and entries may include radio, TV, print, online advertising, social media campaigns, websites, newsletters, or a specific marketing plan.
Congratulations to this year’s winners who were honored during the DakCU Awards Banquet held at the Holiday Inn – Rushmore Plaza in Rapid City, South Dakota on May 11, 2022.
$26M to $125M in Assets – East River FCU, Madison, SD. East River FCU was recognized for their “You are more than your money” campaign. The first step in the campaign was asking people to join a movement “that cares about you, not just your money” and then continued by stressing the importance of financial well-being and how credit unions can help them feel more in control of their finances. The campaign has proven successful as the credit union has seen an increase in members, increases in online banking and mobile banking, as well as an increase in loans.
Over $126 Million in Assets – First Community CU, Jamestown, ND. First Community CU launched their successful “Life is Better with Community” campaign to support membership engagement and growth, as well as brand awareness. With a four-month blitz that included Member Monday Giveaways, employee shirts touting “Life is Better with Community,” member video testimonials, and a member referral drive, as well as multiple media outlet advertising, the credit union met and exceeded their new membership goals!
