DakCU Holiday Schedule
DakCU offices will be closed on Friday, November 11 in observation of Veterans Day. There will be no Memo that day. Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Please have a safe and enjoyable long weekend! 

FREE Webinar: The Crossroads of Cybersecurity & Fraud

FREE Financial Health Seminar!
The Illinois Credit Union Foundation is extending an open invitation to join them on Thursday, November 17 for their 4th Annual ICUF Financial Health Seminar. Sessions include how to use brain science, putting FWB into practice, helping members navigate life events, and more. Sessions will all be recorded and shared with all registered participants. NCUF Offering Financial Well-Being Grants
The National Credit Union Foundation has announced two new grant opportunities to bolster credit unions’ ability to offer financial coaching and combat hunger. Both grant initiatives are open for applications and deadline for submissions is Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. Successful applicants will formally begin their grant projects in January 2023. Further information on the individual grant programs and how to apply is available on the Foundation’s website. Questions? Central Chapter Meeting
The Central Chapter has scheduled their next meeting for November 15 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Huron Event Center. The topic will be BSA Jeopardy and Robbery Training, with speaker Lisa Snedeker from Dakotaland FCU. RSVP to Tiffanie Kouf by November 8.
 
Red River Chapter’s First “Friendsgiving”
The Red River Chapter is planning a “Friendsgiving” event on Tuesday, November 15 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Wild Terra Cider Bar, 6 12th St. N. Fargo, ND 58102. Bring a non-perishable food donation and get a free drink ticket! Thanksgiving Dinner provided by Sprit Fire for just $10.00 per person and all donations will go to the FM Emergency Food Panty. If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate, please contact Kori at korianne@unitedsavingscu.org.  RSVP to Kori no later than November 10.
 
Missouri Valley Chapter CEO Panel Discussion Planned
The Missouri Valley Chapter of Credit Unions will be hosting a CEO Panel Discussion on Tuesday, November 22 starting at 5:30 p.m. with social and dinner, following by the discussions. Meet at the Mandan Depot, 401 W Main St. Mandan. Kindly RSVP here.

Credit Unions United Hosting Food Drive
The Credit Unions United Chapter is hosting a food drive through November 18. All food, household paper supplies, and toiletries collected will be picked up during the week of November 21st and will help stock local food pantries. For branches outside of the Minot area, credit unions can donate to their local pantries and report the weight of the donation to Jennifer Jerauld to be included in the total collection.
 
Maurie C Byrne Chapter Meeting
The Maurie C Byrne Chapter will hold their chapter meeting on Tuesday, December 6 at the Spud Jr. Prohibition Room, 302 Demers Ave in East Grand Forks. Meet at 6:00 p.m. for social followed by dinner. Significant others are invited; there will be an ugly Christmas sweater contest and other games. Please contact Kenzie Vodden with Med Park Credit Union at 701-780-5733 with number of people attending no later than Tuesday, November 22.

To make planning as simple as possible for Dakotans who wish to attend the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference, DakCU has created a “One Stop GAC Shop” where you will find all the information you need to make the most of your experience.
