FREE Webinar: The Crossroads of Cybersecurity & Fraud
Between National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and International Fraud Awareness Week, there’s no better time than now to join Alloya for this jam-packed, 90-minute webinar covering a series of cybersecurity and fraud prevention topics, hosted by two of Alloya’s risk-management experts! Part I: Protecting Your Credit Union From Cyber Threats will demonstrate how taking proactive steps to protect both your credit union and members is essential. NCUF Offering Financial Well-Being Grants

The National Credit Union Foundation has announced two new grant opportunities to bolster credit unions’ ability to offer financial coaching and combat hunger. Both grant initiatives are open for applications and deadline for submissions is Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. Successful applicants will formally begin their grant projects in January 2023. Further information on the individual grant programs and how to apply is available on the Foundation’s website. Questions? East River FCU Seeking MSR
East River FCU in Madison, SD is seeking a Member Service Representative. If you are looking for a fun and dynamic work environment, as well as competitive benefits, supportive colleagues, and opportunities to develop your career, this may be the perfect opportunity. Responsibilities include: Educating members and potential members on the credit union’s products and services; Accurately balancing cash transactions; Handling requests for loan payments, withdrawals, check requests, line of credit advances and other requests from members; and Opening new accounts and service existing accounts. Desired skills include outstanding communication skills in both oral and written communications and ability to develop rapport and create trust with members and teammates. Central Chapter Meeting
The Central Chapter has scheduled their next meeting for November 15 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Huron Event Center. The topic will be BSA Jeopardy and Robbery Training, with speaker Lisa Snedeker from Dakotaland FCU. RSVP to Tiffanie Kouf by November 8.
 
Red River Chapter’s First “Friendsgiving”
The Red River Chapter is planning a “Friendsgiving” event on Tuesday, November 15 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Wild Terra Cider Bar, 6 12th St. N. Fargo, ND 58102. Bring a non-perishable food donation and get a free drink ticket! Thanksgiving Dinner provided by Sprit Fire for just $10.00 per person and all donations will go to the FM Emergency Food Panty. If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate, please contact Kori at korianne@unitedsavingscu.org.  RSVP to Kori no later than November 10.
 
Missouri Valley Chapter CEO Panel Discussion Planned
The Missouri Valley Chapter of Credit Unions will be hosting a CEO Panel Discussion on Tuesday, November 22 starting at 5:30 p.m. with social and dinner, following by the discussions. Meet at the Mandan Depot, 401 W Main St. Mandan. Kindly RSVP here.
