![]() Good Morning! I hope everyone has been preparing and conditioning their bodies for a full day of eating, drinking, and repeating like me! We are just a few hours away from Turkey Day, so let’s cue the Thanksgiving tributes! I have so many things in my life to be thankful for, but I’ll keep it short and sweet this morning. I’m thankful for you, whoever you are, reading this article. I appreciate you for taking a little time out of your day each Wednesday to read my legislative updates. I promise to keep them coming whether you like it or not (haha)! Wishing you all an extremely happy and relaxing Thanksgiving! Roger Heacock GAC-HTH Scholarships Available – ACT NOW! Don’t forget, if you are planning or even considering attending the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference, the North and South Dakota Governmental Affairs Committees are offering financial assistance. The GAC will once again be an “in person” event this year and is scheduled for February 27 – March 3, 2022, in Washington D.C. This Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) scholarship was created to honor Roger Heacock’s servant leadership and longtime commitment to credit union advocacy and grassroots engagement by providing financial assistance to credit union professionals who are members of DakCU and wish to attend the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) or a DakCU Legislative/Regulatory Hike the Hill (HTH) event. Assistance varies each year and is based on the number of qualified applicants and funds available. Scholarship money allocated to applicants may reach, but not exceed, the cost of attending the conference or event. Other expenses such as travel, lodging, and entertainment will be the responsibility of either the sponsoring credit union or the individual. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2021 – so do not wait! You can find more information of the 2022 CUNA GAC, along with the Roger Heacock GAC-HTH Scholarship application, on our website here. As always, don’t hesitate to contact me with any advocacy questions or concerns. Comments are closed.
