NCUF Offering Financial Well-Being Grants
The National Credit Union Foundation has announced two new grant opportunities to bolster credit unions’ ability to offer financial coaching and combat hunger. Both grant initiatives are open for applications and deadline for submissions is Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. Successful applicants will formally begin their grant projects in January 2023. Sisseton-Wahpeton FCU Seeking Assistant Manager
Sisseton-Wahpeton FCU is seeking a full-time assistant manager. This person is responsible for assisting the credit union manager in the overall management of the credit union and ensuring financial stability and member satisfaction. East River FCU Seeking MSR 
East River FCU in Madison, SD is seeking a Member Service Representative. Responsibilities include: Educating members and potential members on the credit union’s products and services; Accurately balancing cash transactions; Handling requests for loan payments, withdrawals, check requests, line of credit advances and other requests from members; and Opening new accounts and service existing accounts. Desired skills include outstanding communication skills in both oral and written communications and ability to develop rapport and create trust with members and teammates. 1st Liberty Federal Credit Union is seeking a Real Estate Manager for the branch office in Great Falls, Montana. 1st Liberty is a full-service financial institution that offers a wide range of financial services; matching members’ needs with products and services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: to provide complete and compliant Real Estate, Home Equity, Advances and FHA Title I loan service to members, interview, advise, originate, underwrite and approve/deny loans. Must have knowledge in and be able to underwrite secondary market FHA, VA, Convention, RD loans. Able to act as a backup to our consumer loan processes and approvals. Rapid City Area Chapter Pints & Politics
A Pints & Politics Forum will be held on Thursday, October 27 in Rapid City at The Pour 54 Taphouse – 615 S. Main Street. Meet at 5:30 p.m. for social, followed by the Forum to educate legislators and candidates on the credit union difference and discuss legislative agenda items for the upcoming legislative sessions. 
 
Credit Unions United Chapter Halloween Social
The Credit Unions United Chapter “Progressive Halloween Social” is back this year! Join your peers on Tuesday, October 25 for a “ghoulish good time” moving from credit union to credit union (see below). Prizes will be given for best group costume and most creative food. ​Red River Chapter’s First “Friendsgiving”
The Red River Chapter is planning a “Friendsgiving” event on Tuesday, November 15 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Wild Terra Cider Bar, 6 12th St. N. Fargo, ND 58102. Bring a non-perishable food donation and get a free drink ticket! Thanksgiving Dinner provided by Sprit Fire for just $10.00 per person and all donations will go to the FM Emergency Food Panty. If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate, please contact Kori at [email protected].  RSVP to Kori no later than November 10.
