Black Hills FCU Celebrates Grand Opening of Newest Rapid City Location
Black Hills Federal Credit Union (BHFCU) celebrated the grand opening of its newest Rapid City Member Service Center on Wednesday this week with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Located at 5th and Minnesota, the new Member Service Center provides convenient access closer to home for thousands of BHFCU members on Rapid City’s south side.
 
“We will be able to more conveniently serve new and existing members with this new Member Service Center,” said Jerry Schmidt, president and CEO. “Having a location in the heart of
Rapid City’s south side will allow easier access for our members in the nearby Black Hills
communities and those who work in the area.”

The 3,200 square-foot branch is BHFCU’s 6th location in Rapid City and 16th in South Dakota.
The 5th and Minnesota branch features four drive-up lanes, four offices, and new Interactive
Teller Machine (ITM) technology. Members of the BHFCU leadership team, board members, and credit union management joined Rapid City community leaders for the grand opening celebration. The location opened and began serving members in November 2022.

Attention CU Marketers!
Did you know your association has created a collaborative marketing group inside of our DakCU Mobile App? If you want to know more about what other credit unions are doing in the Dakotas, need some marketing guidance or assistance, or just want to bounce ideas and thoughts off other marketers, you are invited to join! The group is a closed private feed within DakCU Mobile. Anyone can request to join the group; only accepted members can see the contents of this group which is exclusive to DakCU affiliated credit unions. Download DakCU Mobile (if you haven’t already) which is available for both Apple and android devices. When you first log in, using the same credentials as our dakcu.org website, you will receive a six-digit verification code in your DakCU registered email address that you will need to enter into the app. As long as you don’t log out, you will not have to enter another verification code. From there, choose “Groups” at the bottom. Select “Join Groups” and find “Marketing Community.” Wait for a DakCU moderator to let you in, and let the collaboration begin! Railway CU has free office supplies for loan/paper file needs!
Railway Credit Union has some free Classification Folders and Tab Inserts for the taking! After moving from paper loan files to all electronic versions, they have a supply of legal classification folders and the tab inserts/dividers that are no longer needed. Fargo Public Schools FCU Seeking Operations Manager
Due to an upcoming retirement, Fargo Public Schools FCU (Fargo, ND) has a career opportunity for an Operations Manager. This position is responsible for assisting the credit union President/CEO in the overall management of the credit union, working closely with the president on accounting functions, member service, and lending duties as needed. Area FCU Seeking Business Lending Manager
Area Federal Credit Union is seeking a Business Lending Manager to grow and develop their business lending programs. This position oversees all aspects of business lending, from meeting with potential members regarding their business lending needs to developing policies and procedures. Duties with this position include but are not limited to: taking initial applications; underwriting; preparing loan documents; and performing reviews on existing loans. A minimum of two years lending experience is required, with commercial lending experience preferred.

The National Credit Union Foundation is hosting their 2023 CU FinHealth Conference on April 18 – 20, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV. Explore credit unions’ role in improving people’s financial well-being. CU FinHealth brings industry leaders together to examine how credit unions are measuring financial health, working to strengthen it, and documenting and sharing the results. Attendees will discuss multi-sector solutions to address the drivers of financial well-being, explore strategies for engaging new partners, understand how to leverage technology to track and improve financial health, and share best practices.
