Lindsey Hefta is ready to assist your credit union and be a part of the conversation. What topics would you like to hear more about?

by Lindsey Hefta, Director of Marketing

I once read that a cardinal sin of creating blog content is to ask your audience to do the work for you. When I read that I thought, well of course, I wouldn’t want my audience to create the content for me; However, I do want to know what content you feel would be beneficial to your credit union, your position, your knowledge base.

With nearly 20 years of graphic design practice alongside roughly 12 years of marketing experience, I have been given a wealth of knowledge and information to share. And while I have several years of direct marketing experience within the financial services industry, I am still new to the credit union movement. So, I wanted to reach out to ask you what marketing and/or graphic design topics are YOU interested in hearing about.

To help answer that, perhaps you need to first ask yourself and your credit union:

  • What are your marketing goals for this year, and long term?
  • What topic/content would deliver your marketing team the most value?
  • Why haven’t you started using ‘x’ platform, app, capability?
  • What marketing questions do you struggle with as a credit union, marketer, CEO?
  • Does someone on your team pay attention to what is trending, or no longer trending?

Some topic ideas may include wide-range categories or specific topics:

  • Traditional vs digital marketing
  • Search engine marketing
  • Inbound vs outbound
  • Onboarding or reboarding
  • Customer stories
  • How-tos
  • Customer reviews or testimonials
  • Giveaways and freebies
  • Social media trends or even a specific social platform
  • Showcasing a new product or service
  • Web design
  • Creating content
  • Mobile technology
  • Streaming or video services
  • Etc

There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all marketing plan for credit unions. Not only do I want to assist YOUR credit union, but I want to be a part of the conversation. Let me know how best to do that. If you have specific topics you would like covered, please email me at your earliest convenience.
