Big news on our DakCU State-Wide Awareness Program Right on the heels of our outstanding success with our State-Wide Awareness Program in 2022, we are ready to hit the ground running for 2023 starting Memorial Weekend when we will be launching three unique Gas Station TV (GSTV) video ads that will run for 90 consecutive days. There is one video that will run in both states in addition to unique videos tailored for North and South Dakota that extoll the savings members receive by using a credit union in that state. You can check out our all-new 2023 GSTV featured videos at the links below, and be sure to see Lindsey’s SWAP update in today’s Memo for our other exciting plans, including more billboards, and geofencing and geovideo ads!
Don’t hesitate to contact Lindsey if you have any questions about our credit union awareness efforts. CULAC 30 by the 30th campaign. Every June, the credit union movement comes together to raise funds for CULAC. We are fortunate here in the Dakotas to have two engaged CULAC Trustees in Paul Brucker (President/CEO Railway CU) and Chad Moller (Chief Growth Officer at Dakotaland FCU). Whether it's threats to interchange, excessive regulation, or attacks on our tax status, CULAC is among our best tools to fight back and help us maintain impactful relationships with lawmakers. Watch for an email coming soon for CULAC’s annual $30 by the 30th fundraising campaign. Professionals Forum & Foundation Golf Scramble scheduled. The next major DakCU event, our CU Professionals Forum, is scheduled for August 15th in Fargo. Details will be announced soon for agenda and location. In conjunction with that meeting, we will be holding our 7th annual Dakota CU Foundation Golf Scramble on August 16th at Rose Creek Golf Course, also in Fargo. Come for the Forum and stay for a day on this beautiful golf course to support our Foundation! Registration will be open soon; meanwhile, please mark those calendars. A bold proposal for ND credit unions and our CMN Hospital. North Dakota credit unions have been approached by Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo with an exciting new opportunity to join in a very bold campaign to fund a new micro-preemie unit. Conversations with some of our member credit unions have already taken place, and those conversations are continuing in hopes of gaining consensus for support of this proposal. If we accept this challenge, we will have exclusive naming rights and recognition for an entire treatment area. This would be an incredible credit union awareness and public relations opportunity for all involved, not to mention helping to serve our state’s most vulnerable children closer to home. Our hope is that every North Dakota credit union will pledge to support this campaign. To introduce this proposal, DakCU will be holding a virtual meeting on Thursday, June 8th at 3:00 p.m. (CT). We invite all North Dakota Credit Unions to join us to hear about this exciting venture that can help save lives and have a long-lasting impact in our state and community. The call should last about 30 minutes and you can join with this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83215952896. Please ask a member of your leadership team to attend if you cannot join. I’m looking forward to connecting with many of you soon. Please have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Weekend! DakCU President/CEO
