Congratulations to these Dora, Louise, and Desjardins winners who were recognized during the DakCU awards banquet.

Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) recently announced the 2022 state level award recipients of the National Awards Program as determined by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). The distinguished honors were made during the DakCU Summit awards banquet held on May 10, 2023, at the Delta Marriott Hotel in Fargo, ND. The state level awards are judged by the Minnesota Credit Union Network, Utah Credit Union League, and the Cooperative Credit Union Association and CUNA determines the national winners.

Desjardins Adult and Youth Financial Education Awards recognize credit unions’ efforts to teach personal finance concepts and skills to members and nonmembers. Congratulations to the following:
Adult Category

East River FCU, Madison, SD First Place for less than $50 million in assets.
United Savings CU, Fargo, ND First place for $50 Million to $250 Million in assets.
North Star CCU, Maddock, ND First place for $250 million to $1 billion in assets.
Capital CU, Bismarck, ND Second place for $250 million to $1 billion in assets.

Youth Category

Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Awards are given to a credit union or chapter for social responsibility projects that help people or strengthen the structure of a community. The winners include:

East River FCU, Madison, SD First place less than $50 million in assets and first place national award.
University FCU, Grand Forks, ND Second place less than $50 million in assets.
Postal Family FCU, Fargo, ND Honorable Mention less than $50 million in assets.
Railway CU, Mandan, ND First place state level $50M to $250M and second place national award.
United Savings CU, Fargo, ND Second place $50 million to $250 million in assets.
Norstar FCU, Britton, SD Honorable Mention $50 million to $250 million in assets.
Capital CU, Bismarck, ND First place $250 million to $1 billion in assets.
North Star Community CU, Maddock, ND Second place $250 million to 1 billion in assets.
First Community CU, Jamestown, ND First Place over $1 billion in assets.

Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Member Service Awards are given for practical application of credit union philosophy within the actual operation of the credit union and recognize programs and services that benefit membership. The recipients are:

Postal Family FCU, Fargo, ND First place less than $50M in assets and Honorable Mention national level.
Railway CU, Mandan, ND First place $50 million to $250 million in assets.
Town & Country CU, Minot ND First place $250M to $1B in assets and Honorable Mention national level.
Capital CU, Bismarck, ND Second place $250 million to $1 billion in assets.
