Stack the PAC Event to “kick off” the 2024 Summit!
Today's the big day! We're excited to host this year's conference at Grand Falls Casino and Resort, located just southeast of Sioux Falls. Thanks to the DakCU team's hard work, we've prepared an outstanding event and I can’t wait for all the special meetings planned for this week.

I may be biased, but I am especially excited for our new advocacy event, the “Stack the PAC” gathering being held this evening, Tuesday, May 14th, at 7:30 p.m. This exclusive, invite-only session will blend socializing, recognition, and a chance to raise awareness about CUPAC and CULAC—the Credit Union Political and Legislative Action Committees dedicated to supporting state and federal level candidates who champion credit unions. Each of our two states operates its own PAC, overseen by their respective Governmental Affairs Committees. The goal of CUPAC and CULAC is to help elect officials who will foster a thriving environment for credit unions.

At the "Stack the PAC" social, we'll celebrate our past year's supporters and look ahead to the elections with insights from Trey Hawkings, Deputy Chief Advocacy Officer for Political Action at America’s Credit Unions.

Invitations went out via email to those who contributed through payroll deductions or direct donations at the CU Advocate level ($24 annually). Not to worry if you missed out meeting the minimum requirement in 2023; you can still join us by donating $24 at the door. Everyone is welcome to be part of this special event—let's make it a great one!

Join in on the silent auction action at Summit!
If you are looking for other ways to get involved and have some fun at the same time, our silent auction and gift card raffle is back by popular demand to support the Roger Heacock Scholarship Fund. We sincerely thank all our credit unions in North and South Dakota who have contributed a prize for this year’s auction. I don't know about you, but I'm putting my bets on the “pickleball package” in hopes of picking up a new hobby this summer!

Not only can you win some stellar items (check out the photo below for a sample), but by participating in the bidding action, you help provide scholarships to credit union professionals from the Dakotas to attend the national Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, DC, and our "Hike the Hill" event in the fall.

Check out how to register and hopefully even WIN below:
