The Southeast 605 Chapter of Credit Unions wrapped up its 20th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the end of June. With final numbers coming in, they were able to raise $11,280 in 2022. Along with this year’s contributions, the SE605 Chapter of Credit Unions has been able to donate over $125,000 to charitable donations over the past 20 years, with Feeding South Dakota being the primary recipient.
“The credit unions that make up the SE605 Chapter have so much to be proud of; being able to give back to our communities consistently for 20 years and counting is astounding,” says Joey Rotert, Vice President Eastern Market at Black Hills Federal Credit Union. “We look forward to many more years of coming together,” he added. A credit union’s philosophy is People Helping People, and that is what the SE605 Chapter aims to accomplish with the events they host. The chapter golf tournament wouldn’t be a success without the many partners. Thank you again to Alloya, Eide Bailly, Experian, DFS Insurance, CU Mortgage Direct, Essent Guaranty, Advantage Network, Cutler Law Firm, Millennium Corporate, High Plains Technology, and Gordon Flesch Company. The chapter is a nonprofit organization governed by a board of directors which are employees of credit unions in the southeast South Dakota area. Credit unions that are part of the chapter include Black Hills Federal Credit Union, Bluestone Federal Credit Union, East River Federal Credit Union, Explorers Credit Union, First Century Federal Credit Union, Levo Credit Union, Vermillion Federal Credit Union, and Voyage Federal Credit Union.
