SD CU Legislative Day

A successful day of advocacy in Pierre wraps up with the popular Legislative Social and the opportunity to further advance the credit union difference! 

Nearly 30 credit union advocates from across the Dakotas gathered in the South Dakota State Capitol yesterday for Credit Union Legislative Day. 

Credit unions represented included Black Hills FCU; Dakotaland FCU; Healthcare Plus FCU; Highmark FCU;
​M-O FCU; Norstar FCU; Northern Hills FCU; Oahe FCU; Sentinel FCU; Sioux Valley Co-op FCU; and Voyage FCU.  

​Attendees experienced a full day of credit union advocacy, including being recognized in the Legislative Chambers. In addition, the SD GAC held an in-person meeting, and everyone was invited to participate in the CU Roundtable after the Capitol visit. 

The day culminated with the very popular Legislative Social. Besides having a good turnout from our credit unions, there were more than 40 legislators mingling and learning more about the credit union difference!
