Nearly 30 credit union advocates from across the Dakotas gathered in the South Dakota State Capitol yesterday for Credit Union Legislative Day. Credit unions represented included Black Hills FCU; Dakotaland FCU; Healthcare Plus FCU; Highmark FCU; M-O FCU; Norstar FCU; Northern Hills FCU; Oahe FCU; Sentinel FCU; Sioux Valley Co-op FCU; and Voyage FCU. Attendees experienced a full day of credit union advocacy, including being recognized in the Legislative Chambers. In addition, the SD GAC held an in-person meeting, and everyone was invited to participate in the CU Roundtable after the Capitol visit. The day culminated with the very popular Legislative Social. Besides having a good turnout from our credit unions, there were more than 40 legislators mingling and learning more about the credit union difference!
Next week, Jay Kruse will provide a details recap of the day – so stay tuned to the Memo for more details about this successful event. Comments are closed.
