We are thrilled to announce that DakCU has engaged Eric Chester for our Tuesday mainstage event at this year’s Summit!  If that name sounds familiar, it’s quite possible you have already read one of his five bestselling books on employee development.  His writings have been helping business leaders find, engage, and keep the right employees, and include:
  • Fully Staffed: The Definitive Guide to Finding and Keeping Great Employees
  • On Fire at Work: How Great Companies Ignite Passion in Their People
  • Reviving Work Ethic: A Leader’s Guide to Ending Entitlement and Restoring Pride
  • Getting Them to Give a Damn: Get Your Front Line to Care About Your Bottom Line
  • Employing Generation Why: Understanding and Motivating Your New Workforce

Business leaders in every industry want to ignite passion in their workforce and create a culture where people perform better and stay longer.  For nearly 30 years, top corporations and associations have turned to Eric Chester for the strategies they need.  He has shared his insights with more than two million people in every state in America, every province in Canada, and from Australia to the Netherlands.

Eric has been described as “riveting” and “electrifying,” and his passion for workplace culture comes through in every word of his high-energy keynotes.  You can expect a fun, fast-paced, and most importantly, actionable presentation as he provides solid solutions and strategies you can use for attracting, developing, and keeping the best talent.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Michael Burger will not be appearing as we had previously announced.  However, we are quite confident that Eric’s presentation will be the perfect compliment to our other featured speakers, including:

International Keynote Speaker & Brand Storyteller – Melanie Spring
Melanie Spring will demonstrate how humans are at the center of every successful venture!  Her extensive corporate and personal branding experience will show you how to speak with confidence, how to create a branded experience, and how to tell your story and amplify your voice.

Consulting and Competitive Market Expert – Jim Kasch
Jim Kasch knows how to help credit unions adapt and thrive in the new competitive market.  He is a passionate advocate for credit unions and has been a featured speaker at industry events all across the country.  He will be leading a breakout session on strategic planning, and with our exciting new partnership with Jim and Canidae Consulting, there are several exciting new opportunities for impactful solutions for our Dakota credit unions.

HR Consultant and Trainer – Dan Oakland
Dan’s breakout session “HR Lessons from the Pandemic and More” will provide expert knowledge in the areas of supervision, leadership, team building, customer service, workplace communications, behavioral styles, individual development, and critical human resource issues.

CUNA Chief Economist – Steve Rick
Let’s just say when Steve Rick speaks, credit unions listen!  As the chief economist for CUNA Mutual Group in Madison, Wisconsin, his primary responsibilities include conducting strategic research, analysis, and forecasting of the financial services industry.  He will help you obtain a clear understanding of the underlying trends and links between the general economy, the financial services industry, and CUNA Mutual Group’s policy owners.

Creditor’s Rights and CU Law Expert – Frank Drake
Frank Drake is an expert who has advised and represented most of the major secured and unsecured financers on secured lending, bankruptcy, and regulatory compliance matters.  Frank will be presenting two different sessions on topics that are uniquely relevant to credit unions – including one on the “Rise of Cannabis Banking”.

But that’s not all!

While the conference has been condensed into two days, we will still hold our casual golf outing, the Annual Business Meeting, and our elegant Awards Banquet.  There will also be plenty of time for networking with peers, something we are all looking forward to after the past challenging year.

Yes, the Annual Summit has something for EVERYONE interested in expanding their industry skills and knowledge.  From our outstanding educational content, to making those important industry contacts, you do not want to miss this year’s event!

Plan now to join us May 3 – 4 at the Delta Marriott Hotel and Convention center in Fargo.  Our staff is looking forward to reconnecting with you, and we can’t wait to host our first in-person event of 2021.  Be sure to visit our Summit Event Page for more details and the complete agenda.
