Prairie Business magazine has announced their “40 Under 40” list for 2022 in their December issue. We are thrilled to share that two of our North Dakota young credit union professionals are included in the prestigious “top 40.” Congratulations to: Yvonne Fossen, VP of Operations for North Star Community Credit Union, Maddock, ND. Yvonne began her career at North Star in 2005 as an intern. She has been part of their growth from 4 locations and $80M in assets to their present 13 branches and more than $411M in assets. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, and a Human Resources Management Certificate from Dickinson State University. She has also received her Certified Credit Union Executive credentials; her Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor designation, and her CU HR Compliance designation, just to name a few of her accomplishments. Shawn Romo, Senior Ag Loan Officer, Western Cooperative CU, Willliston, ND. Shawn joined Western Cooperative in 2010 as a teller and has been an ag loan officer for more than 11 years. He supports the credit union’s culture of honesty and diligent care for members and is always volunteering his time and talents to the community. He coaches football and basketball, and supports the FFA and his hometown booster club, in addition to helping at his family ranch. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Studies and a minor in Banking and Financing from Dickinson State University. Prairie Business magazine’s 40 Under 40 award recognizes individuals from a wide range of industries who have made significant impacts in their chosen professions and communities.
