Credit Union Magazine just announced the 2021 class of Credit Union Rock Stars, sponsored by Fiserv.  We are thrilled to share that Steve Schmitz, CEO of First Community Credit Union, Jamestown, ND, was on the list!

This year's Credit Union Rock Stars program recognized 31 outstanding credit union professionals and volunteers from a wide range of disciplines who use their unique strengths to advance the missions of their credit unions. This year's class, representing 23 states and two countries, were selected for their exceptional creativity, innovation, and passion.

In his Rock Star interview, Schmitz remarked that fostering a positive, inclusive culture is a top priority.  “I like to know the staff – what their interests are, who their kids are, and what they’re doing.  I want them to know I’m approachable and that they can poke their head in my office and talk to me.”

You can check out Steve’s story along with a video here.  You can also see all the winners in the special digital edition of Credit Union Magazine.
