North Star Community Credit Union recently hosted a “Dorm Dinner” for the Airmen at the Minot Air Force Base. Volunteers from the credit union served a homemade meal with an Italian theme. The group planned to serve 150 Airmen, and at the end of the evening, there were no leftovers!
“This was a great event and a great way to bring a home cooked meal to the young airmen in the dorms,” said Marketing Manager Sheila Melaas, North Star CCU. “We even received a glowing ‘thank you’ note from the resident USAF Chaplain, Sean Russell. In part, the note said, “Thank you for the tremendous support you offered to our Airmen this Wednesday. The Italian dinner hit the mark! We might possibly be in the most stressful and busy season our Air Force has ever experienced and yet you chose to give extra. Thank you for your partnership and helping us continue to demonstrate that serving our Airmen is our #1 priority, and will continue to be so.” Comments are closed.
