Welcome to our new bi-weekly Dakota Credit Union Foundation article!  In this feature, we’ll share with you the latest updates on what we’re working on for the foundation, where we’ve recently donated money, and any new events we have coming up.

Speaking of events, I’m excited to announce that registration is now OPEN for our annual golf scramble!  Please click this link if you’d like to register, as teams are bound to fill up fast!  This year, we will be hosting it on August 26th at Apple Creek Country Club in Bismarck, North Dakota.  We’re hoping for a huge showing, as DakCU will be hosting a Professionals Roundtable the day before on August 25th from 10 am to 5 pm at the Country Inn and Suites in Bismarck.

Along with the golf event, the foundation board will be having a strategic planning session to look at our mission, where and how to use our funds, and the events we use for fundraising.  We believe this is the best path forward in order to efficiently operate for our members and the communities we serve.

Finally, if you have any projects coming up in your local chapters, please consider submitting an application for a grant with the DakCU Foundation.  We look to provide funding for projects that serve our local communities and provide financial education.  Our next meeting will be June 21st.  Please reach out to me at [email protected] for more information.
