Dakota credit unions are becoming increasingly interested in Financial Well-Being for All – and the Dakota Credit Union Foundation has become increasingly involved in those efforts by providing grants for that specific purpose.
Recent grants approved by the Foundation have already assisted four Dakota credit unions with the financial costs of implementing Zogo, a financial literacy app that pays users to learn. These credit unions have partnered with Zogo to provide a better financial education option to members, especially the younger generation. The app has more than 700 modules that cover a range of topics, and each takes just a couple minutes to complete. Zogo turns fear of financial literacy into fun – which creates opportunities for both credit unions and their members! Participants learn best when they can apply information to real-life situations that provide understanding and feedback, and Zogo does exactly that! Check out this CUNA PODCAST featuring Bolun Li, Zogo founder and CEO. Want to know how you can get Zogo at your credit union? Contact George McDonald, DakCU’s Chief Officer of Strategic Services.
