Don’t forget, October 20 is International Credit Union Day (ICU Day) – that’s just a week away! We will all be celebrating with this year’s theme: “Empower Your Financial Future with a Credit Union.” Be sure use #ICUDay on all your social media posts, and don’t forget to share your ICU Day activities and celebrations by emailing to Shawn Brummer.
ICU Day has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. The ultimate goal is to raise awareness about the tremendous work that credit unions and other financial cooperatives are doing around the world and give members the opportunity to get more engaged. Festivities often include community fundraisers, contests, and picnics. October is also Cybersecurity Awareness Month and a great time to help individuals protect themselves online as threats to technology and confidential data become more commonplace.
