Five employees from Hallmark CU (Rapid City) have volunteered for Junior Achievement this year, to teach about Business and Community in second grade classes in Spearfish and Rapid City. Photo below is from the most recent session where Rapid City Market Manager, Vonnie Wackel, led the class for a lesson about the production of donuts!
Each of the students in the Junior Achievement classes received a Highmark logo bag that includes a Highmark piggy bank, a Pee Wee Newsletter, a pencil, and bubbles or a small toy. To date, four classes have been reached, or more than 80 students. One class even asked if they could make a visit to the credit union, so on May 24, Highmark will be hosting second graders and giving them a tour. The students will be encouraged to bring their filled piggy banks to empty into the coin machine to see how fast their savings can add up! Comments are closed.
