Foundation Update

The Dakota Credit Union Foundation Board of Directors held a virtual meeting on July 26, 2023. New Foundation board members, Kylee Lemieux, Marketing Manager at North Star Community CU, and Tyler Gross, Senior Loan Officer at Sioux Valley Co-op FCU, were introduced and welcomed.

The Foundation received a memorial donation from the Dakota Credit Union Association in honor of Kelly Miller, former manager at Highmark FCU, who passed away earlier this spring. As a reminder, memorial donations can be made on the Foundation web page at any time and for any amount. 

The Board considered and approved three grant applications, all for FiCEP – Financial Counseling Certification Program. Congratulations to:

• Htee Na, VP of Interpreting, Dakotaland FCU
• Vanessa Garcia, Spanish Interpreter, Dakotaland FCU
• Jessica Hoerer, Mortgage Loan Officer, Vue Community CU

The Foundation Board will be holding their next meeting in-person just prior to the CU Professionals Forum on August 15 in Fargo. We look forward to seeing many of you at our Foundation Golf Scramble on August 16!
