At the final DakCU CEO Town Hall of 2022, special guest Linda White, Executive Director of the Credit Union Women’s Leadership Alliance (CUWLA), explained how their organization empowers women leaders of smaller credit unions by providing a support system and opportunities for mentorship and peer coaching.
Here in the Dakotas, we have 42 women who sit in the president/CEO/manager chair. That means that 63 percent of the leadership positions in the Dakotas are held by women! Not only do millions of consumers rely on small credit unions for their services, but these credit unions are also an important part of maintaining a not-for-profit tax status. If you’re a woman CEO of a credit union under $300M, check out the link below for details on getting connected. If you are a larger credit union or organization that serves credit unions, you can become a founding donor to support the development of meaningful programs and initiatives to support CUWLA’s mission. We currently have ONE Dakota credit union CEO who is a member of the CUWLA: Lacey Fetsch, CEO of University FCU. Lacey is willing to speak to anyone who wishes to hear how the organization has benefited her professional development and her credit union. You can reach Lacey at [email protected]. Through bold, open communication and sharing innovative ideas, CUWLA helps to provide the connection and leadership support to help small credit unions thrive. Annual dues are just $195 for credit unions under $50M and $295 for credit unions $50-$300M. Find out more at cuwla.com/. Comments are closed.
