The “50 Best Places to Work” is a yearly recognition presented by Prairie Business, a leading regional publication. The magazine recently published their 50 Best Places to Work for 2023, and we are very pleased to share that two of our North Dakota credit unions were named this year! Congratulations to Town & Country CU (Minot), and First Community CU (Jamestown).
Companies are chosen based on employee surveys that assess different aspects of the workplace, including employee engagement, job satisfaction, leadership, and benefits. The “Top 50” were selected from more than 1,500 nominations from employees at companies and organizations in the magazine’s readership area, which includes North Dakota, South Dakota, and western Minnesota. Congratulations to both of these outstanding credit unions! Kalli Schell, Senior Executive Vice President at Town & Country CU, remarked, "We are incredibly honored to be included among the 50 Best Places to Work by Prairie Business. This achievement reflects the dedication and enthusiasm of our team. We've worked hard to create an environment where our employees feel valued, motivated, and supported. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to fostering a workplace that encourages employee growth, collaboration, and success." Town & Country has embraced flexible work arrangements, providing flexible schedules and remote work options. They also offer 24 hours of paid time for employees to volunteer at local nonprofits. This year, a dress-for-your-day dress code was introduced where employees choose whether they dress casual or more formal. First Community CU also weighed in on their recognition. “We are proud and humbled to be recognized as one of the best places to work,” said Steve Schmitz, President/CEO. “I couldn’t be more appreciative of our members for choosing FCCU and our employees for all their hard work each and every day. We know that keeping healthy, wealthy and wise employees translates to an overall better work experience; we believe happy employees are successful employees." First Community was also named as a 2023Top 10 Workplace by the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network. To learn more about career opportunities at First Community, click here.
