Dakotas Sister Society!
A local “Sister Society” of the Global Women’s Leadership Network is now being formed in the Dakotas. Thanks to the efforts of Nanci Wilson from University Federal Credit Union (Grand Forks, ND) along with Jaymason Bramblee from Oahe Federal Credit Union (Pierre, SD), the first meeting of the Dakotas Sister Society is scheduled for April 28th at 2:00 p.m. (CT) via Zoom. To register, simply RSVP to Nanci Wilson by April 26th and be sure to follow us on Facebook. The group plans to reconnect quarterly following the initial meeting. FREE Webinar on Financial Access for Youth The National Credit Union Administration and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation are co-hosting an “Account Access and Financial Education for Youth Participating in Employment Programs” webinar on Tuesday, April 27 at 12:30 p.m. (CT) as part of National Financial Capability Month. Registration for the event is now open. Representatives from financial institutions and youth workforce programs will discuss the challenges of youth account access. America Saves for Young Workers, an initiative of the Consumer Federation of America, will share research on the benefits and features of youth accounts. Participants will be able to log into the webinar and view it on their computers or mobile devices using the registration link. Participants can submit questions in advance by emailing [email protected]. The email’s subject line should read, “Youth Participating in Employment Programs.” This webinar will be closed captioned and archived online approximately three weeks following the live event.
