Sioux Falls FCU Welcomes Ron Van Zanten – EVP Quality & Innovation
Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union is pleased to welcome Ron Van Zanten as Executive Vice President - Quality & Innovation.  Ron joins Sioux Falls FCU with over 18 years of experience in the financial industry.  Mr. Van Zanten is responsible for assisting the credit union President/CEO in the overall management of the credit union.  As a member of the executive management team, Mr. Van Zanten is responsible for ensuring financial stability, maximizing operating performance, and member satisfaction commensurate with the best interest of the members, the employees and the credit union.  This EVP role will oversee various departments including Finance, Systems & Data Administration, and Risk.
 
Mr. Van Zanten is an accomplished technology professional with extensive knowledge in information and data systems as well as business intelligence.  He has proven experience integrating technology and business solutions for mid-sized and large enterprise corporations. He is an expert in maximizing technology for business application by aligning networking, data management, and agile development to the larger strategies, goals, and objectives of a business.  He has been twice interviewed by Steve Forbes as an expert in the area of technology driven business and performance.  He has also served as an advisor to Gartner and Microsoft’s Business Platform of Technology.  His industry insights have been highlighted in additional interviews with Forbes Magazine, Computerworld, ITPro Today, and US Banker.  Ron is the author of Drive Business Performance: Enabling a Culture of Intelligent Execution.

Capital Credit Union Promotes Falter
Kari Falter was recently promoted to branch manager at Capital Credit Union’s Mandan Branch.  In this role, Falter will oversee branch financial and member services staff and be responsible for consumer lending including auto, recreational vehicle and home equity loans, delivery of deposit products such as money market accounts and certificates of deposit, and actively soliciting, promoting, and servicing credit union products and services. Originally from Mandan, Falter earned an associate degree from Bismarck State College in 2016. She has been with Capital Credit Union since July 2016, most recently as a financial services representative at the Mandan Branch

VP of Business Banking Opportunity       
American Eagle Financial Federal Credit Union, located in East Hartford, Connecticut, and exceeding $2.3 billion in assets, is seeking a commercial banking executive to serve as their Vice President of Business Banking.  Reporting to the Chief Lending Officer, this individual will be charged with building a robust commercial banking operation consisting of both lending and deposit products.  Responsibilities will include structuring the department, hiring staff, implementing technology, and outlining guidelines and procedures.  The successful candidate will have extensive leadership skills, a proven ability to develop strategic direction and strong execution skills. Additionally, this individual will be very knowledgeable in both commercial loan and deposit products, commercial credit, cash management, and commercial lending software.  Five plus years of experience managing commercial banking teams and operations is required.  Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Red River Chapter Hosting Red Hawks Event
The Red River Chapter of Credit Unions is hosting an evening at the Red Hawks on Tuesday, July 27th @ 7:02 p.m.  Gather at the 3rd Base Line Party Deck for an all you can eat buffet featuring hot dogs, brats and pulled pork sandwiches along with potato salad, potato chips and pop and water.  Beer will be available for $2.00 on the party deck throughout the game, and Dot’s pretzels will be available to snack on following the buffet for the remainder of the evening.  All credit union staff and family are welcome, tickets are $12.50 each.  RSVP to Korianne Mortenson.
