Jill Westendorf Retiring from Northern Hills FCU
Northern Hills FCU has announced the upcoming retirement of Jill Westendorf on Friday, May 27, 2022. Jill moved to Wagner, South Dakota from Salina, Kansas in 1994. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in 1999, she began working as a teller at Fort Randall FCU in Pickstown and was later promoted to branch manager of their Platte Office in 2004. She moved to the Black Hills in the fall of 2007 where her career began with NHFCU as a Service Associate. The following year she accepted the newly created position as the Compliance Officer, earning her BSACS designation. Jill states, “I have learned an incredible amount over the last 14+ years. I appreciate the opportunity I have had with NHFCU, meeting many credit union professionals and member-friends! I am now ready for a new life experience!”

DakCU Seeking Administrative Assistant
Due to the upcoming retirement of Deb Kruckenberg, the Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) is seeking a highly organized, detail orientated individual to join our dynamic team as an Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for providing general administrative support primarily for our executive team and will support all staff as needed. Primary duties include managing our membership database including basic accounting, assisting with conference/meeting logistics, administrative support for our foundation, and assisting with our awards and recognition program, in addition to daily office routine duties.
The Administrative Assistant will work closely with all members of our team but will also function independently while handling projects and deadlines. As such, a self-motivated individual that enjoys a fast-paced environment will enjoy the opportunity to use their organization skills to keep staff and our office operating smoothly. Black Hills FCU Seeking Fraud Manager
Black Hills FCU is seeking a Fraud Manager in Rapid City, SD. This person will be responsible for implementation and oversight of BHFCUs fraud program, and all aspects of fraud within BHFCU. They will also lead the Fraud team in their efforts to monitor transactional fraud, design and implement fraud prevention strategies, and maintain an effective fraud review process. This position requires a high level of integrity in performing job duties and in team duties. Requires a working knowledge of credit union policies/procedures and service philosophy. Must be able to read and interpret laws and regulations received from various sources. Job requires a four-year college level of language, math and reasoning skills in the area of accounting, finance, or money and banking. Minimum of five years experience in fraud, compliance, or related field. A professional designation such as CFE or the equivalent, is required. Honoring the past, present and future of the incredible women making history in the credit union industry, Herstory will be an interactive exhibit showcasing inspiring stories never heard before. The new exhibit will premiere at the museum’s 20th Anniversary celebration in September 2022. In addition to a physical display at the museum, the exhibit will have an online presence that shares stories through virtual visits.
