DakCU Offices Closed Monday
DakCU offices will be closed on Monday, July 4th in observation of Independence Day, an important federal holiday in the United States that commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. The day marks the historical event when the United States of America declared its independence from the rule of Great Britain. The declaration was adopted on July 4, 1776, and therefore, the holiday is commonly referred to as the Fourth of July or July Fourth. Please have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.

Tinnes Joins Aspire Credit Union
Jalisa Tinnes has been announced as the new Mortgage Loan Officer at Aspire Credit Union. Originally a west coast native, Jalisa has been in Minot for eight years. During her time at Minot State University, she worked her way through college in the financial industry, learning skills in teller customer service, and mortgage loan processing post-graduation. These skills both carry into her position at the credit union and she also has an extensive background in the non-profit sector. “Working as a mortgage loan officer has been my dream career,” stated Tinnes. “Helping members achieve their dreams of financing a home, whether it be a first home or new construction, I’m looking forward to meeting with members and learning how we can best serve their needs.” Please join us in welcoming Jalisa to the credit union family!

This individual will have a proven track record of community service, personnel management, communications, problem-solving, and organizational skills along with a high degree of integrity. Preference will be given to candidates with credit union experience, including progressive management and a college degree. Salary commensurate with experience. To apply, please submit a letter of interest and resumé to: Board Chairman, 201 W Holly Street, Sidney MT 59720 or email to CEOSearch.RFCU@gmail.com by July 15.

Your SWAP $$ At Work!
If you are in the Rapid City area, be sure to watch for the new billboards promoting Dakota credit unions and YourMoneyFurther.com. Also, keep your eyes open for both digital and printed SWAP advertising – started statewide across both North and South Dakota! Our highly visible campaign includes both digital and printed billboards, online ad display networks, and printed newspaper ads in our contributing markets. Artwork on all platforms will be changed often to keep it fresh and eye-catching. Plus, don’t forget to pay attention to Gas Station TV (GSTV) whenever you are filling up your tanks, because those ads are running through the summer months! And remember, contributing credit unions also have enhanced listings on yourmoneyfurther.com, so be sure your listings are all customized and updated to maximize your placement(s)! Contact Lindsey Hefta if you have any questions, or to learn how you can support our Statewide Awareness Program (SWAP).

Honoring the past, present and future of the incredible women making history in the credit union industry, Herstory will be an interactive exhibit showcasing inspiring stories never heard before. The new exhibit will premiere at the museum’s 20th Anniversary celebration in September 2022. In addition to a physical display at the museum, the exhibit will have an online presence that shares stories through virtual visits. Free Webinar Series for Small Credit Unions
There is a free webinar program for smaller credit unions from CUNA. In this series, you will be connected to business partners that are vetted and known to work well with smaller credit unions. Partnering with CUNA Strategic Services, the goal is to deliver direct to your office presentations on services from small credit union-friendly vendors that can help you enhance your organizations and the services you offer members. Each month, two small credit union-friendly providers will present how their offerings can enhance your service to members. This free series takes place every second Thursday of the month now to December. Register for the series here.
