 Jennifer Walz Completes CUCE Certification Jennifer Walz, VP of Operations at Minuteman FCU (Rapid City, SD) recently completed her Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) certification through CUNA. Jenn started working part-time at the credit union while still in high school. For the past ten years, she has worked full-time at Minuteman, starting as an MSR, advanced to VP of Operations, and now will be leading compliance areas as well. Jenn trains all the front-line staff, works collections, and is also the lead loan officer. She intends to continue to advance her career and her education by attending CUNA Management School starting in July. Congratulations Jennifer!  Longtime North Star CCU Employee Retires After nearly 35 years with North Star Community Credit Union, Wendy Arne, Executive Vice President, retired on April 29, 2022. Wendy joined Benson County Co-op Credit Union, headquartered in Maddock ND, on October 16, 1987 as their 5th employee. She was tasked with creating a Visa Credit Card program for the credit union which has since grown to 3,500 cards and annual sales nearing $16MM. Next came debit cards and ATMs for the credit union and Wendy managed those additions as well. Her positions over the years included: Teller, Cards Department, Accounting, VP Finance and most recently, Executive VP. She was on the merger team and was instrumental in opening multiple new branches for North Star CCU and served for several terms on the board of the North Central Chapter of Credit Unions. The board and staff of North Star CCU thank Wendy for her 34+ years of service and wish her the best during her retirement. Congratulations Wendy!
