![]() Season of Giving! As we approach the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, we are officially entering the “Season of Giving.” Credit unions give back year-round, but even more so during the holidays! Don’t forget to share those stories of charitable donations, toy and food drives, and volunteer work that your credit union is doing this year to make a positive difference in your community! Email to [email protected] for the Memo and CU Social Good. Missouri Valley Chapter Holiday Social Join the Missouri Valley Chapter for their annual holiday event on Thursday, December 2 from 5–7 p.m. at The CraftCade in Bismarck. Enjoy classic arcade games, delicious pizza and beverages, and the opportunity to network with your credit union friends. Door prizes will be awarded! No RSVP required. Credit Union House Celebrates 20 Years Credit Union House on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. serves as a primary venue for credit union industry leaders to meet with federal lawmakers about our industry’s legislative priorities. Next time you are in D.C., be sure to stop by and visit the facility which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month. Thank you for your contributions over the two decades, and we hope you “check the box” for a donation this year along with your DakCU dues submission. Looking for GAC Crashers If you are considering applying for the GAC Crasher program, please note the deadline is rapidly approaching! This is a great opportunity for those age 40 and under who are looking to advance their career in the industry. 50 Crashers – one from each state – will be selected to attend the event in Washington, DC. Crashers receive free conference registration. Travel, lodging, and food costs are the responsibility of the Crasher and their credit union, so DakCU is offering a $1,000 scholarship for each of our Dakota Crashers! Details are available here – be sure to meet the December 3rd deadline. DakCU Awards Nominations Due Soon Don’t miss the deadline! DakCU Awards nominations are due by December 17 and can be found here. Check out our revamped Awards Page which now includes previous winners and our Hall of Fame winners from 2000 to 2021! Contact Deb Kruckenberg with any questions.
