Condolences to Loren Wetch Family
Loren Wetch, longtime volunteer at Railway Credit Union (Mandan, ND) passed away peacefully in his home on September 23, 2021 surrounded by his family.  Loren was a volunteer board member for 26 years, and most recently served as chairman of the Supervisory Committee.  He received the DakCU Volunteer of the Year Award in 2017, and was inducted into Railway Credit Union’s Hall of Fame in 2021.  He was a well-known fixture at many Railway events, including their annual appreciation day, where he ran the grill, and at Christmastime when he played Santa.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2 at Capital Christian Center in Bismarck.  You can read his obituary here.

ICU Day FREE Resources
International Credit Union Day (ICU Day) is Thursday, October 21.  Each year, we come together to celebrate ICU Day to raise awareness about what it means for members around the world to have a credit union as their financial partner.  This year's ICU Day theme, “Building financial health for a brighter tomorrow,” reflects the way credit unions contribute to a brighter future by working to improve members' financial well-being.  Last week, our new Director of Marketing, Lindsey Hefta, sent out ICU Day graphics and other materials to our member credit union CEOs and marketing staff so we can keep a consistent message across the Dakotas this year, bringing credit unions to the forefront as a better financial services option for consumers.  Be sure to contact Lindsey if you need any assistance with customized ICU Day graphics or visit CUNA’s website for downloadable resources.
