Capital CU Promotes Heather Norton
Heather Norton was recently promoted to universal services representative at Capital Credit Union’s New Salem Branch.  In this role, she will be responsible for consumer lending including auto, recreational vehicle and home equity loans, delivery of deposit products such as money market accounts and certificates of deposit, and actively soliciting, promoting, and servicing credit union products and services.  Norton has been with Capital Credit Union for three years, most recently as a lead member services associate at the New Salem Branch.

Dakota Credit Union Foundation is gearing up for their 5th Annual Dakota Credit Union Foundation Golf Scramble, which will be held on Thursday, August 26, at the Apple Creek Country Club in Bismarck, ND.  Please consider sending a team to our golf tournament or purchasing a sponsorship this year.  The deadline to register is Friday, August 13.  Early Bird Pricing for teams is $450 and individual golfers are only $115.  After July 3rd the cost to sponsor a team of four is $500; individual golfers are $135.  Price includes green fees and golf cart, lunch, and dinner after the event.  Register here and contact Kayla Pulvermacher with any questions.
 
Make an Impact - Join the Social Media Blitz! 
Credit Unions across the country are going to unite to make a splash on July 30 with an “I Love My Credit Union” social media blitz!  This is the brainchild of our friends at the Illinois Credit Union League, who wanted to do something to inspire nationwide involvement of leagues, credit unions, and members, and connect those conversations with a common hashtag.  (Shhhh – we are not supposed to use the hashtag until July 30!)  This is simple to do!  Everything you need to participate is just a few clicks away on the resource hub.  Here, you can sign up to participate and access everything you’ll need to plan and engage members in this exciting, nationwide collaboration.  You’re welcome to personalize the materials with your own branding, design your own content, and add those unique touches that will speak to your membership.  
 
Dakota Credit Union Association Seeking Director of Marketing
Dakota Credit Union Association is seeking a Director of Marketing.  This position is responsible for performing external and internal marketing strategies for the Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU).  Primary duties are to develop and implement promotional and membership marketing strategies as well as collateral/resources for DakCU events, educational conferences and seminars, and social and political functions.  The Director of Marketing is responsible for the creative development and implementation of all visual and video assets, including creative design and support for DakCU’s digital assets such as website, mobile/digital applications, and social media platforms.  The Director of Marketing will work closely with our team but will also function independently while handling projects and deadlines.  As such, a self-motivated individual that enjoys a fast-paced environment will enjoy the opportunity to be creative and innovative while using their marketing, creative design, and communication skills and experience.  Helpful skills and experience:

• Minimum of two years of experience in marketing.  Creative design/CMS Web-support communications, and video/digital production experience helpful.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of AP style writing and comfort with editing others’ work, and the ability to apply consistency and standards across all communications.
• Proven organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Bachelor's degree or AA degree with an emphasis in marketing or graphic design; or the equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Media and social media placement and strategic experience helpful.
• Video production experience or knowledge is helpful, but not necessary.
