The Dakota Credit Union Foundation (Foundation), the charitable arm of the Dakota Credit Union Association, recently announced that their 5th Annual Golf Scramble will be the first “Play Yellow for Children’s Hospitals” golf event ever held in North Dakota!
On August 26th, credit union professionals, business partners, and credit union volunteers from across the Dakotas will be taking over the Apple Creek Country Club in Bismarck, North Dakota, starting at 10:00 a.m. (CT). Each year, the Foundation holds this annual charitable event, but this is the first time that a “Play Yellow” portion of the proceeds will be donated to local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals as part of the “Play Yellow for Children’s Hospitals” nationwide initiative. “Play Yellow means you are supporting the children who are being cared for at a local Children’s Hospital,” says Kayla Pulvermacher, Foundation Director. “Credit unions have a long history of supporting CMN Hospitals, and this year the Foundation board of directors decided this is the right time and place for our Dakota credit unions to demonstrate our commitment to our own Dakota Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” she added. Led by professional golfer Jack Nicklaus and his wife, Barbara, along with the PGA TOUR and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, “Play Yellow for Children’s Hospitals” strives to bring the entire golf world together to help the 10 million kids treated at CMN Hospitals each year. The Foundation’s Golf Scramble is open to the public as space allows. Click here to sign up by Friday, August 13th, 2021, and contact Kayla Pulvermacher at 701.250.3948 or [email protected] with any questions. “Golfers can join us in supporting the cause, simply sign up as individual or team, then wear yellow on the course, knowing your donation will be helping kids at our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” Pulvermacher continued. “If you cannot join us on the course but would like to show your support for this great cause, we would be most appreciative of any other donations or sponsorships for our event,” she concluded. About Dakota Credit Union Foundation The Dakota Credit Union Foundation’s purpose is to build community awareness of credit unions throughout North and South Dakota through support of children’s charities; community and social impact organizations and projects; and to support financial education and financial literacy programs within the credit union system.
