Dakota Credit Union Foundation Update

​Vacation Sweepstakes is outstanding success; Golf Scramble is scheduled for August; and acknowledging our many credit union supporters.

​The Dakota Credit Union Foundation Board of Directors held a regularly scheduled virtual meeting on Wednesday, May 24th. One of the items for review was the results of the Vacation Sweepstakes. The board is very pleased to report that $10,750 was raised from sweepstakes entry donations, and an additional $2,455 was raised from direct donations by both individuals and credit unions for the cost of the prize purchase. Therefore, the Foundation will net $8,205 from this one fundraiser! Thank you to all who helped to make this sweepstakes a huge success!

A location and date has been set for the annual Foundation Golf Scramble with all proceeds dedicated to the Fargo Sanford Children’s Hospital. Please mark your calendars for August 16th – and plan to join us in Fargo for a round of golf at the Rose Creek Golf Course. This fundraiser will be held in conjunction with the CU Professionals Forum – additional details and registration information will follow soon.

The board has two seats open at this time, due to the retirement of Jane Duerre (Norstar FCU), and Darla Schafer (Flasher Community CU) has also stepped down. The Foundation would like to thank both of these credit union professionals for their many years of dedicated service.

We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our many credit union supporters who were recognized at the Awards Banquet during the DakCU Summit in Fargo.
