The Dakota Credit Union Foundation (Foundation) held another virtual meeting on Friday, July 15, 2022, with the main order of business to review a second group of grant applications that were received during the latest disbursement period which ended on June 30. Each request is reviewed by the Foundation board and approved by vote.
The board was delighted to receive three additional grant requests from DakCU member credit unions and voted to approve all three! The following credit unions are receiving funding from the Foundation: Highmark FCU (Rapid City, SD) – $1,000 for Kyla Wright, marketing director, to attend CUNA’s Financial Counseling Certification program (Fi-CEP). Coteau Valley FCU (Sisseton, SD) – $1,250 for April Ceroll, loan officer/executive assistant to attend iLead@11 DakCU Emerging Leader Program. MED5 FCU (Rapid City, SD) was approved to receive a $1,250 scholarship with funding provided by Alloya Corporate FCU for Myles Burnham, operations manager, to attend iLead@11 DakCU Emerging Leader Program. Congratulations to all the grant/scholarship recipients! NOTE: There is ONE (1) remaining Foundation leadership development scholarship for $1,250 available.
