Small credit unions are essential to the future of the credit union movement. Not only do millions of consumers rely on small credit unions for their services, but these credit unions are also an important part of maintaining a not-for-profit tax status. That said, it’s no surprise that small credit unions face more challenges than ever before in today’s lightening pace of change.
As part of the credit union system, we all know that we are stronger when we work together to support each other. With that in mind, we want to share a powerful resource to support women-led credit unions under $300M! As CUNA announced earlier this year, the Credit Union Women’s Leadership Alliance (CUWLA) empowers women leaders of smaller credit unions by providing a support system and a safe space where they can share best practices, offer opportunities for mentorship and peer coaching, and better support the communities they serve. Through bold, open communication and sharing innovative ideas, CUWLA helps to provide the connection and leadership support to help small credit unions thrive. Here in the Dakotas, 59% of our CEOs are women, and most of them are CEOs of smaller credit unions. If you’re a woman CEO of a smaller credit union, check out the link below for details on getting connected. And, if you are a larger credit union or organization that serves credit unions, check out how you can become a founding donor to support the development of meaningful programs and initiatives to support CUWLA’s mission to support women CEOs of smaller credit unions. Annual dues are just $195 for credit unions under $50M and $295 for credit unions $50-$300M. Find out more at https://cuwla.com/. In addition, you can support the CUWLA by becoming a donor! Your contribution of $200 or more supports this worthwhile effort. Whether you become a “Friend” or a “Legacy Donor,” each financial contribution is appreciated. Comments are closed.
