The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Awards Committee have announced the 2022 national level recipients of the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award, the Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Member Service Award, and the Desjardins Awards for Financial Education. State Leagues across the nation submit the state-level winners in various asset sizes; these league winners are then considered for the National Awards.

These leaders and organizations truly live the credit union difference every day to benefit their members,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “Each winner demonstrated how they live our ‘people helping people’ motto in new and exciting ways I hope inspires everyone in our movement." “Dakota Credit Unions are putting their core mission to test every day, doing amazing things to improve the financial lives of their members,” stated Jeff Olson, DakCU President/CEO. “Achieving national recognition and earning honors in their respective asset categories speaks volumes to the work that Dakota credit unions do in serving their members and advancing their communities. A hearty congratulations and a heartfelt thank you to all our winners for embracing and demonstrating the credit union difference,” he added. Below are the national first place award winners, along with our other Dakota winners. The Dora Maxwell Award honors credit unions for outstanding social responsibility projects in their communities. The Louise Herring Award recognizes credit unions that demonstrate the internal application of credit union philosophy to help better financial matters and increase financial education for its members. Postal Family FCU (Fargo, ND) received an Honorable Mention for credit unions less than $50M in assets. Town & Country Credit Union (Minot, ND) also received an Honorable Mention for credit unions $250M - $1B in assets. First-place winners for the Louise Herring Award include:
