The Credit Unions United Chapter in Minot, ND recently held their annual food drive. Once again, this event had 100 percent participation and support from credit unions in the Minot area, including Town & Country CU, Affinity First FCU, GEM FCU, North Star Community CU, Aspire CU and Minot Area Schools FCU. Also participating were North Star branches at the Minot Air force base, Bottineau, and Velva, with locations outside of Minot collecting items for their own local communities.
The Chapter organizes this event each November. In total, this year they were able to collect 1,265 pounds of non-perishable items for local food shelters – exceeding last year’s donation by 165 pounds! The Credit Unions United Chapter conducts regular educational meetings for their members and promotes cooperation, assistance, and fellowship among all credit unions. They are well known for giving back to their local community! Comments are closed.
