Black Hills Federal Credit Union (BHFCU) is proud to be among the community partners who are supporting The Monument, formerly known as the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. As a Founding Partner and the exclusive financial services provider for The Monument, the credit union is excited to help bring new events to their community.
The Monument is a 500,000-square-foot exhibition center, in Rapid City. It is the main event center for the Black Hills Region, serving western South Dakota, southwest North Dakota, northwest Nebraska, and eastern Wyoming.
The partnership with The Monument includes providing BHFCU ATM and ITM services throughout the existing facility and new Summit Arena. Event guests will have convenient access to their funds, while BHFCU members will have access to tellers during extended business hours.
“We are committed to improving lives in the communities we serve, and we see The Monument as an important investment in the future of Rapid City,” said Jerry Schmidt, BHFCU’s president and CEO. “A project of this significance requires the support of businesses and individuals, working together toward a long-term goal. The combined efforts of all stakeholders have created a strong and sustainable economic driver that will enhance our community and the surrounding area for decades to come.”
“When the opportunity to become The Monument’s exclusive financial partner was presented to us, we immediately saw the connection to our mission to improve lives and our passion for service,” shared Carol Brown, VP of marketing and business development. “We are excited to help bring new opportunities and cultural experiences to those we serve.”
Established in Rapid City in 1941, Black Hills Federal Credit Union serves more than 80,000 members with locations in Rapid City, Custer, Eagle Butte, Hot Springs, Pierre, Sioux Falls, Spearfish, Sturgis, and Wall, South Dakota. For more information, visit bhfcu.com.
