Rapid City, S.D. – Black Hills Federal Credit Union (BHFCU) proudly makes an annual donation to the United Way of the Black Hills. Through several staff Jeans Day fundraisers held during 2022, individual pledges, and a corporate contribution, BHFCU was able to donate $16,300 to the United Way of the Black Hills.
“At BHFCU, we love giving to the United Way of the Black Hills. We know our dollars are working even harder to make a regional impact,” said Laura Klapperich, BHFCU Benefits Specialist. “Our donation will make a meaningful difference for families through the many programs supported by the United Way.” The employee donation of over $16,300, made up of several different efforts, is a testament to the impact the BHFCU team can make when working together. By partnering with the United Way, BHFCU can have a meaningful effect on families and individuals throughout the Black Hills region. The United Way acts as a waypoint for donations to make the most significant difference in our communities. During 2021 and 2022, the United Way of the Black Hills served 124,687 people through funded agencies. BHFCU supports community needs through corporate contributions, employee fundraisers, and donations from members, staff, and community supporters to the Black Hills FCU Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
