Minot, ND – Aspire Credit Union is extending hours, adding late night services, education, and loan application perks for attendees. Kicking off their inaugural event on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, this credit union is excited to provide extended hours to 7:30 p.m. for members to conduct business. In addition to inviting members, the community is welcome to join the educational events at 1430 South Broadway, Minot to learn more about how credit unions are different, and perhaps to even open a new membership. In addition to the lobby’s extended hours, the drive thru will also be open. “We are excited to launch our new educational series,” shared Mindee Kohlman, CEO of Aspire Credit Union. “It’s been something we have talked about for a while, and we are pleased to offer extended hours in conjunction with our seminars.” The quarterly events will pair late nights with a variety of educational topics that are concerning to Aspire’s members, based on recent surveying. Each unique training sessions will be offered twice. The first education series will focus on Credit Cards and Fraud. If you have ever wondered about credit cards, how they affect your credit score, why you should spend significantly less than your limit or how to manage credit card debt – this would be a great 20-minute seminar to attend. As a promotion, any member or non-member that opens an Aspire Credit Union Visa Credit Card in the month of February will receive double points on all transactions for the first 30 days. (Subject to credit approval and membership eligibility.) Fraud is the second topic. Fraudsters do not discriminate when they find victims to fall to their schemes, so this educational topic is perfect for all ages. This session will have real-life examples of people being defrauded and ways to navigate those situations. Additionally, attendees will receive pointers on how to protect their cards and information about Card Valet, a system that allows cardholders to turn cards on and off. Finally, if you have ever wondered who covers those transactions when a credit union refunds fraudulent charges, there will be information on that too! Remember, when in doubt, stop in, text or call your credit union directly at the number you know. Community friends who are in the market for a loan or are looking to open a credit card are encouraged to stop by during these extended hours for special offers, including waiving document fees for any member or non-member who comes to the credit union during the hours of 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to apply for a loan or open a new credit card. All loans qualify for this promotion and are subject to normal credit approval and analysis. Aspire Credit Union has served the Minot area communities since 1937. A non-profit, member-owned financial institution, Aspire Credit Union strives to provide the best service, products, and rates possible to meet its member’s needs. Aspire Credit Union is a community-chartered credit union serving Bottineau, McHenry, McLean, Mountrail, Renville, and Ward Counties. Federally insured by NCUA. Comments are closed.
