Area FCU Names New CEO

​Congratulations to Stephen Streier as he assumes the leadership role at the Aberdeen, SD based credit union. 

Stephen (Steve) Streier has been named the new CEO of Area Federal Credit Union, as announced by their board of directors on Friday, August 12th.

Streier has worked in the financial industry for his entire career, starting as a teller in college, and advancing to loan processor, collector, loan officer, member service representative, assistant manager, and vice president. He has experience in accounting, payroll, human resources, as well as policy and procedures and back-office work, and served as VP of lending at Area FCU for more than 20 years.

Streier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northern State University. As a 35-year resident of Aberdeen with 25 plus years of credit union experience, he is well positioned to lead the organization as they continue to improve their members’ lives.
