![]() Stephen (Steve) Streier has been named the new CEO of Area Federal Credit Union, as announced by their board of directors on Friday, August 12th. Streier has worked in the financial industry for his entire career, starting as a teller in college, and advancing to loan processor, collector, loan officer, member service representative, assistant manager, and vice president. He has experience in accounting, payroll, human resources, as well as policy and procedures and back-office work, and served as VP of lending at Area FCU for more than 20 years. Streier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northern State University. As a 35-year resident of Aberdeen with 25 plus years of credit union experience, he is well positioned to lead the organization as they continue to improve their members’ lives. Area FCU based in Aberdeen, South Dakota was chartered in 1935. Today they have nearly 12,000 members and over $190M in assets. Comments are closed.
