Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) recently announced the 2021 state level award recipients of the National Awards Program as determined by the Credit Union National Association. The distinguished honors were made during the DakCU Summit awards banquet held on May 11, 2022, at the Holiday Inn – Rushmore Plaza in South Falls, SD. State level awards were judged by our peers at the Minnesota Credit Union Network, Utah Credit Union League, and the Cooperative Credit Union Association. Desjardins Adult and Youth Financial Education Awards recognize credit unions’ efforts to teach personal finance concepts and skills to members and nonmembers. Capital Credit Union, Bismarck, ND Second place for $250M to $1B in assets. First Community Credit Union, Jamestown, ND First place for more than $1B in assets. Youth category Capital Credit Union, Bismarck, ND First place in the Youth category for $250M to $1B in assets. North Star Community Credit Union, Maddock, ND. Second place in the Youth category for $250M to $1B in assets. Hometown Credit Union, Kulm, ND. First place in the Youth category for $50M to $250M in assets. Bluestone Federal Credit Union, Sioux Falls, SD. Second place in the Youth category $50M to $250M in assets. Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Awards are given to a credit union or chapter for its social responsibility projects within the community. Credit unions receive the award for activities that help people or strengthen the structure of a community.
