The Dakota Credit Union Difference
The Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) is the professional financial trade association serving 62 credit unions that employ nearly 2,400 individuals across the Dakotas. With more than 562,000 members in North and South Dakota, Dakota credit unions have assets in excess of nearly $11.6 billion. *June 2025
America's Credit Unions estimates that Dakota credit unions provided over $109 million dollars in direct financial benefits to members across North and South Dakota during the twelve months ending June 2025. These benefits are equivalent to $225 per member or $473 per member household in South Dakota, and a $148 per member or $311 per member household in North Dakota. *June 2025
