I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend and were able to spend time with family and friends. With any luck, we’ve seen the last of the snowstorms and can officially turn our attention to spring in the Dakotas - a season that brings renewed energy, optimism, and forward momentum (along with fishing, golf, barbeques… and eventually, a few mosquitoes). The excitement is building as we move closer to our Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) Annual Meeting & Summit. This year is continues to shape up as one of our strongest events ever, and yes we truly are looking forward to bringing our credit union community together to engage, educate, and advocate. If you haven’t registered yet, now is the time to act. Early bird pricing ends this Friday, April 10, and we encourage you to take advantage while it’s still available. This year's Summit Crashers program is also generating great enthusiasm. Bringing 13 emerging leaders into the experience not only strengthens their development but reinforces the future of our movement. They are among the next generation of credit union leadership, and their engagement is critical as we continue to evolve and grow. We are looking forward to our second year with April Ales facilitating our Crasher program and thankful as well to our partners at Millennium Corporate Credit Union for their sponsorship of the program once again this year. Equally important is the strength of this year’s program lineup. We have built a strong agenda, bringing together industry experts, thought leaders, and your peers to share insights and ideas. Topics include member engagement, stable coin, fraud, cyber security, and more along with two great keynote presentations, the always entertaining and informative Steve Rick on the economy. Along with our popular golf outing, and Exhibitors Showcase we added some new things: a bus tour in the Hills for non-golfers, and some fun, high-energy closing night entertainment following our Awards Banquet. Just as valuable as the sessions themselves are the conversations that happen in between. The DakCU Annual Meeting & Summit remains one of the best opportunities we have to come together as a network to connect, share ideas, and strengthen the relationships around the common purpose that that defines our movement. Before we get there, I also want to highlight a great lineup of April webinars shared in yesterday’s In Case You Missed It email blast. Be sure to take a look and register for any that fit your schedule. In particular, I encourage you to join the ScreenSteps webinar on April 28, which will focus on how credit unions can better support staff in real-time member interactions, an important and practical topic for every organization. You can also find all upcoming webinars and events on our events calendar, making it easy to stay informed and get registered. As always, our focus is on delivering value to you and your teams - equipping you with the tools, insights, and connections needed to lead with confidence in a rapidly changing environment. We look forward to seeing you in Box Elder this May! George McDonald
