Putting U.S. AI First: Senate Introduces GAIN AI Act
The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee has introduced the Guaranteeing Access and Innovation for National Artificial Intelligence (GAIN AI) Act. The bill is a bipartisan piece of legislation, which if enacted, would require companies to give American businesses first priority in acquiring advanced AI chips before exporting these chips to China and other “countries of concern”.
